Poomukham for this special design house is now coming up with Chuttu veranda, another traditional feature of Kerala Architecture.

Picture shows front view of poomukham after fixing decorative thoomanam(drop slab) which will act as divertor of rain water preventing rain water flowing down with more speed through slope roof,to flow inside slope roof thereby water reaching inside of the slope roof.

Other alternative for this decorative thoomanam or drop slab is to provide plane drop slab to be concreted with steel,cement and mortar.This will be costly and will not have decorative design as seen in the picture.With painting and finishing this decorative drop slab will look better and more appealing

Foundation rubble work is done in an area where there was a pond.We filled up the land and then after set out excavated filled up soil and started building rubble work for foundation from original soil level.After dry pack foundation ,forced filling of sand and quarry dust into foundation done.
